Meet Team Vilda: Luxury Writer Rachida Brocklehurst

Reporting on everything from ethically produced man-made diamonds to what to put in your carry-on luggage, Vilda’s Luxury Writer Rachida Brocklehurst is a connoisseur of the finer things in life – and through her work with Vilda and her PR agency, The Green V PR, she is dedicated to spreading the word about living the luxe life in a compassionate way. We had a chat about Rachida about places she would like to visit, her favourite food, and what she loves about being on Team Vilda.

Where in the world are you based? I split my time between the UK and Belgium, but I travel quite a lot too!

What do you love about being on Team Vilda? I love working with like-minded, supportive people who share my core values.

What’s your favourite piece that you’ve done for Vilda? I’m still quite new to the team, so I’d have to say all of the articles that I’ve written so far.

Describe your personal style in three words. Glamorous, classic and chic (well, I try to be anyway!)
Who are your style icons? I love a stylish, feminine look that can transcend trends but is also slightly ostentatious, so I’d have to say Sophia Loren.

What’s your favourite food? Hummus (spoon is optional). I’m half Tunisian so my favourite cuisine is North African/Middle Eastern.

What’s the last song you listened to? I’m actually obsessed with Sweden’s entry for the Eurovision song contest – Dance You Off by Benjamin Ingrosso.

What are some places that you dream of visiting? I’d love to visit Brazil, Argentina, Jordan and explore more of Italy.

What would you do if you won £10million in the lottery tomorrow? I’d take my mum on a two week-long luxury holiday and I’d buy my partner the road bike of his dreams. Next, I’d donate some money to my favourite animal charities and then plan some adventures.

If you were reincarnated as an animal, what would you be? Definitely a cat – a Persian cat.

What’s your favourite colour? Red

What’s the scariest thing you’ve ever done? Moving countries for love and not knowing if it would work out (it did).

Would you do it again? Absolutely.

Who would play you in a movie about your life? I’m quite odd looking, so I really don’t know! Someone with long dark hair and a rather big nose?

What’s your favourite quote? “Though she be but little, she is fierce”. I played Hermia in A Midsummer’s Night Dream at school, and this quote was one of my favourite lines about my character, and it’s something that has stuck with me since.
