A year ago, we launched the #VildaOOTD hashtag to celebrate creative and chic vegan fashion across social media, and inspire more people to dress with compassion. Since our first #VildaOOTD edit – each month we put our five favourite outfits on the site – almost 600 outfits have been shared on Instagram with the hashtag. Fashionistas from countries such as Germany, the UK, the US, Israel and Sweden have shared their vegan fashions with us and with the world through #VildaOOTD. Plus, it’s given our readers insight into what Team Vilda wears!
The competition
At the end of our first year of #VildaOOTD, we have decided to invite our readers to vote for the best vegan outfit of the year, among ten finalists chosen by Team Vilda.
The winning fashionista will receive a $100 shopping spree from our partner Unicorn Goods, the largest vegan fashion catalog in the world. She will also receive one item of her choice from vegan shoe brand Coquette, as well as accessory brands Mechaly and Story 81. Plus she will be celebrated and bragged about here on Vilda – because vegan fashion is awesome.
The Finalists
Members of Team Vilda have picked our favourite outfits from the #VildaOOTD edits of the year (see all edits here!)
Louise, Lille // Alias Louise
It’s there for you in the spring, there for you in the autumn, there for you on chilly summer nights – at least if you live in colder climates. As Louise proves, the power of a good all-weather knit is everlasting. Pair with cropped trousers and your trusty Converse, and you’re on to a winner.
Nominated by: Innovation Officer Giulia Panna
Marsha, London // World Within Her
When travel blogger Marsha is not out volunteering in dreamy locations, she’s perfecting the art of cold-weather dressing. The prime piece in this outfit is the sleek camel-coloured coat: never has one piece of clothing pulled together an entire outfit so effortlessly.
Nominated by: Wellness Editor Jessica Sjoholm
Marketa, Czech Republic // Marketa Bartova
The ultimate faux leather look, broken off with white skinnies. Extra points for the just-high-enough ankle boots and the bucket bag. Chic with a hint of edge.
Nominated by: Art Director Emilee Seymour
Frederique, Arnhem // Fab Le Frique
A teddy coat is probably one of the best investment buys you can ever make – at least if you live in a cold country like Frederique, who’s based in the Netherlands. We love her way of playing up the Seventies factor with flares and patterned ankle boots.
Nominated by: Fashion Editor Sica Schmitz
Charlotte, Swansea // Charlotte Clothier
This is pure preppy-girl with an edge. Dungarees have been the comeback item of the last few seasons, and fashionable Charlotte expertly pairs hers with ankle boots, a monochrome bag and houndstooth.
Nominated by: Beauty Editor Mary Hood Luttrell

Klara, Berlin // Just Easy Nice
If you’re not yet familiar with Klara’s fashion blog and Instagram, check it out immediately – her veganised versions of celebs’ and models’ outfits is to die for (well, not literally, that’s the whole point!). We fell for this smart-casual pleated skirt and tee look.
Nominated by: Fashion Stylist & Writer Olivia Kahlin
Jade, California // Jade Kristin
Jade Kristin takes the urban streetwear look to a new level with this oversized blazer and faux-leather leggings combo. But what really brings this look to life? The platform sneakers. Comfortable and achingly cool at the same time.
Nominated by: Style Writer Marina Colerato
Elena, Cologne // The Vegan Closet
Soft meets tough: vegan style blogger Elena matches subdued pastels with faux leather and boots with an attitude. This is a perfect year-round look: just add tights and voila, a perfect cold-weather outfit. Vegan streetstyle at its finest.
Nominated by: Style Writer Stephanie Villano
Maike, Berlin // The Fancy Vegan Life
The perfect pairing for autumn? Oversized knits and a faux leather mini. A foolproof way to look effortlessly chic, especially when accessorized with patent brogues, like shown by Maike here. Amazing red backdrop of beautiful autumn leaves optional.
Nominated by: Food Editor Sara Carraro
Clara, Gothenburg // The Vashion Blogg
A huge Vilda favourite, compassionate fashionista Clara took vegan style to a whole new level this month by pairing this metallic pleated skirt with a polo-neck knit and an elegant clutch, and creating contrast with chunky boots.
Nominated by: Founding Editor Sascha Camilli
