Vilda Video: YouTuber Swedish Cowgirl Talks Vegan Workouts

In a new mini-series of videos made exclusively for Vilda, rising YouTube star Sofie Eklund, also known as Swedish Cowgirl (check her out here, if you’re a Swedish speaker) will talk about vegan workouts, as well as life as a young mum of two, who loves martial arts…and just happens to be vegan.

Sofie lives in Stockholm with her husband and their two daughters, Elise, 1, and Olivia, 9 months, plus their boxer Brutus. Sofie is a nurse who’s currently on maternity leave and exploring vegan living!

We called on Sofie to bring up this topic because, as much as we love pro athletes who are vegan (and we do LOVE them), approaching veganism with a love for all things athletic is tricky enough without having to ask yourself if you need to be a professional to balance the two. Sofie’s a girl just like you – she juggles life, family, friends and a gym membership, and she does it all on a vegan diet. Her vibrant health and enthusiasm about the results she’s had show that vegan is the way forward, at the gym as well as in life.

Hear it in Sofie’s own words:

Some of the things Sofie brings up include:

How and when she went vegan

How her YouTube channel was born

How her workouts have changed since she went vegan

What results she’s had from her vegan workouts

The surprising food stereotype that you should NOT believe

Let us know in the comments if you’ve had similar experiences, or if you have any questions you’d like to ask Sofie for upcoming videos.
