Welcome to the new, hopefully improved, version of Vilda! We had a makeover and are now proudly showing off our new look.
Needing a change is something that creeps up on you. It’s a sneaky feeling: you start noticing things that irk you, or things you’re not even sure how they ended up there in the first place. Then you start imagining all the things you’d do differently, and exactly how they would be better. You envision the finished product, all shiny and new and full of promise. And from there on, all that stands between you and change is the actual leap you have to take.
I personally loved the old Vilda layout. It was clean, minimalist, chic – all the things I love about a website. I kept receiving compliments on how great the site looked. But as we grew and changed, a new look became more and more necessary. You know that t-shirt you used to wear all the time, and now it’s a pyjamas? You love it, so you won’t get rid of it, but over time, you’ve started wearing it to bed instead of out and about. Well, our old design had become just that. It was still very much loved – but it was a pyjamas, whereas what we needed was a sleek LBD. Preferably a tailor-made one.
So, with the help of superhero web designer and developer Cristina Mariani, Vilda’s new look started taking form. It was a journey: one that started with the tiniest, barely noticeable tweaks to fonts and colours, and ended in the makeover you see today. The new Vilda was made for you: I hope this new design will make it easier for you to navigate the site, to find the content you need and the pages you didn’t know you needed. I hope the new Vilda will inspire you to explore compassionate fashion even further and discover that true style is free from cruelty #wearnoanimal
We have several surprises in store for you, too. From cool collabs to new features, there’s so much more to come. This is only the beginning and we can’t wait to show you everything that we’ve been working on. Join us on this wild ride – we’re happy to have you.
