Five Vegan Magazines You Need To Read Now

As founder of Vilda, I know how hard work founding and producing a digital magazine can be – but even I can’t imagine the work that goes into making a beautiful magazine in print. This is why I’d like to give recognition to some of the most creative trailblazers out there, who make gorgeous publications for vegans. Here are five vegan magazines that I regularly read:

Vegan Good Life

Most of us would be happy just being a (gorgeous) runway model, but for Julia Koch this wasn’t enough, so this plant-based overachiever started her own magazine. Run by Julia and Eric Mirbach, Vegan Good Life is a vegan hipster bible. So far they’ve featured Leanne Mai-ly and Joshua Katcher on their cover, as well as Steve-O and the lovely Julia herself, who graced the magazine’s first issue. Also, the current issue (nr 3) features a brief interview with…me! Get your copy at vegan-good-life.com

Fresh View

From quirky cosmetics to plant-based gems of restaurants all over the world, Fresh View is like a delicious collection of all things vegan and lovely. Great for discovering new things you’ll love for a long time, Fresh View is innovative, inspiring and endlessly interesting. Get your fix here: freshviewmagazine.com

Vegan Life

Vegan+Life+Magazine

Beautiful recipes, intriguing articles and an alluring view into the world of all things animal-friendly. Vegan Life is the perfect lifestyle bible for vegans and animal rights activists – minus the patchouli-smelling hemp-tote stereotypes. Get this magazine for heaps of inspiration, in the kitchen and out. veganlifemag.co.uk

Chickpea

Chickpea1

This quarterly mag can be summed up in just one word: pretty. Recipe bible Chickpea is a vegan food porn-fest where every page is Instagram-worthy. From DIY bath bombs to vegan wine pairings, this is the magazine that will make you go from “I hate cooking” to “I can’t wait to get in the kitchen”. Read, look and be inspired at chickpeamagazine.com.

Noveaux

I have to admit something. I haven’t actually read this magazine. Not because I don’t want to…but because it’s in German! Nevertheless I’d still like to recommend it, for its daring use of colours, designs and fashion, and for its keen eye for sustainability. Now Noveaux, do the right thing and add an English version! noveaux-mag.com

  1. This is a great list — I discovered a few new magazines, thanks! Is Vegan Good Life in English or just German? (The cover seems to have both) It looks like an interesting one!
