It seems like yesterday that we were talking about fashion ideas for festive season and New Year’s Eve parties, yet here we are again and this year we have even more ideas for you.
So much of festive style centres around a super-sparkly dress that are wearable just a few nights each year (unless you are a frequent gala-goer), so this time around we’ll offer style ideas for the party season that you can wear all year long, so you can make the best out of your festive fashion purchases.
I’m a big fan of Poppy Lissiman’s work. The Australian designer has a nice range of colourful clutch bags that are pretty and versatile. You can carry this clutch to a nice party or for a night out with friends. Wear it with these Stella McCartney boots and a simple marsala-hued (aka the color of the year) dress and you are ready to go. The boots are expensive – but I’m sure it is an investment for the rest of your life. Go for it!

The kimono has become a timeless shape – adding a kimono dress to your wardrobe is a smart investment, regardless of what time of year it is. Team this kimono with ballet flats and a tote and you are ready for your everyday routine. Change your flats for a nice pair of heels, like these one from Nasty Gal, and a fancy clutch like this gorgeous Charlotte Olympia number and you have a totally different and sophisticated look for a New Year’s Eve party. Easy and money-saving – result!

Reformation is such a beautiful brand with such beautiful clothes that is hard to choose just one dress. This party season, the brand launched a range of elegant sheer and metallic dresses that is impossible to resist. The final choice was a maxi dress, paired with flats for a comfortable and at the same time elegant outfit idea. Add this faux-fur Bambi jacket from Shrimps for a quirky twist – you’ll wear it forever. Finish the look with these sophisticated vintage earrings and a practical Matt and Nut burgundy clutch for some color and voilá, you are ready to go.
