We’ve been fans of sleek NYC eco brand Freedom of Animals ever since former stylist Morgan Bogle first launched her collection of Celine-esque vegan accessories. Her bags are exactly everything that the eco-fashion movement needs: dedication to sustainability, innovative materials and a high style factor. And now, actress Nikki Reed has joined in to offer some A-list glamour to the range, with the new capsule collaboration Nikki Reed for Freedom of Animals.
Famous not only for her acting skills in TV series Sleepy Hollow and films such as Lords of Dogtown and the Twilight saga (I still remember her from 2003’s Thirteen, which she co-wrote and starred in), Nikki is also a dedicated conservationist and animal rights activist. Together with husband Ian Somerhalder, she has spoken up for animals and the environment many times. By using her style skills to create a range with Freedom of Animals, Nikki shows off not only her fashion credentials, but also her compassionate spirit.
The capsule collaboration consists of three new bag styles in black and white constructed with 100% recycled polyurethane and are available on www.freedomofanimals.com and handbag.com. Specialty fringe tassel key chains will be sold exclusively on Freedom of Animals’ site, with proceeds going to the Ian Somerhalder Foundation.
