The star-studded Academy Awards event is upon us and the question on everyone’s lips isn’t what films will win (okay, maybe that too), but rather: who will wear what?
There is no award show more prestigious or more glamorous. First presented in 1929, it’s the biggest night of the year for many actors and actresses, who – regardless whether they go home with a gold statuette – will definitely be remembered for what they wore.
There are myriad ways to make a splash on the red carpet: you can leave your knickers at home, wear tailor-made haute couture, or think outside the box and wear something unexpected, like Björk’s infamous swan dress.
