My closet has definitely seen some trends come and go but, after several seasons of
monopolizing my footwear department, the ankle boots have clearly proven their
staying power. From not-so-basic black to standout party styles, they have in
fact become the building blocks of my year-round wardrobe. So, without further
ado, I give you five good reasons to start wearing them now and on into spring and
summer (no worries, you can thank me later).
1. A classic to keep – Cri de Cour
The glossy finish and the flattering lucite heel make sure you will stand out from the
basic-black crowd.

Perfect for lazy weekends and off-duty days, these vegan suede ankle boots add just

This stunning ankle boot is one of our favourites. Teamed with skinny jeans, it
is also the ideal evening bootie to glam up any outfit.

Team Biker Boots: Fashion Stylist Marina Colerato flies the flag for rock chic
When you look at me you will probably notice right away that I’m an all-black
kind of girl. And if you see me more than once you will also notice that 90% of
the time, whether is super hot (and I’m from Brazil so it usually is) or not, you
will catch me wearing biker boots. I have different pairs of some pretty nice biker
boots for every occasion, starting with three different pairs of Dr Martens, for many
of those days when, you know, we are feeling young and punk. After that I really
like some biker option that flirts with the cowboy style, because a touch of
western makes a black skinny jeans and white t-shirt just the perfect outfit for
almost every mood. And if you are a biker fan (which I believe you are),
you will need a pair with chunky high heels and some chains for those days when
you won’t settle for less than sky-high. Check out the list I’ve made especially for you, with some kick-ass biker boots options to add an extra dose attitude to your closet.

Ok, so if genuine biker style is what you really want, there’s nothing that beats a classic biker embellished with chains, studs AND spikes.
