Vilda tries Petit Vour!

Petit Vour Vilda Magazine
Ever hoped you could find all the vegan beauty goodies you usually have to scour the internet and trawl the shops for – all in one place? Enter Petit Vour, a monthly beauty box launched by the amazing Madeline Alcott, who wanted to create a place for fellow compassionate beauty-aholics to indulge in luscious treats minus the guilty conscience.  Result: a beautifully curated box featuring both established vegan brands and exciting up-and-comers. Completely free from nasty chemicals as well as animal ingredients, this box gives a whole new meaning to “natural beauty”. We had the chance to try Petit Vour – a truly luxe experience.

Aromi Liquid Lipstick – this went on light and glossy, but transformed into an opaque, velvety texture quite immediately. It’s a daring look, yet not intimidating – if you’ve been quietly curious about the matte-lip trend, this might be a good way to ease into the look. Plus points for minimum smudges – no need to worry about “lipstick on teeth” mishaps with this bold lippie.

Aromi Liploss – I don’t know about you, but I’d pretty much given up on gloss, especially during the summer months – what’s glamorous about enjoying an outdoor lunch and ending up with a mouthful of hair, as your locks swish in the wind and get stuck to your lips? But this glossy treat changed my mind with its smooth, non-sticky texture. Plus, the shades are great for adding a pop of colour to your summer makeup.

Deep Steep Brown Sugar/Vanilla Hand Cream – my husband commented on how amazing this smelt (and even borrowed it a couple of times himself, but that should not be spoken of). Rich in shea butter and olive oil, this cream gave back moisture to my hands, which tend to dry out even in the summer, thanks to using the hand-dryer in the office bathrooms. It was quickly absorbed and, as already mentioned, had an almost addictive scent.

Harvey Prince Hello perfume – crisp, clean and fresh, this is exactly the type of perfume I’m instantly drawn to. I’ve always disliked heavy, overly sweet perfumes, especially in the summer. This citrusy-floral fragrance smelled just perfect – and is perfect for carrying in my handbag! Even if I’m carrying a clutch.

Aromi Lipstick – I need a massive amount of hydration for my lips. As soon as they get chapped, I start biting them – terrible habit, I know, but oh so hard to break. I go through countless pots of lip balm a year and crave constant moisture for my mouth. So when I first tried this super-rich and nourishing lippie from Aromi, I was amazed at how soft it made my lips feel. The colours are quite subtle and elegant, making it easy to match.

Paula’s Choice C15 Super Booster – I used this on my holiday to keep my skin in check in the sun and was very impressed with how my skin tone stayed even and bright, even in weather that usually makes it blotchy and red. I’ll definitely be looking into buying this again!

If you like the element of surprise, are curious about vegan cosmetics and/or are just a beauty junkie (and who isn’t?), then I’d warmly recommend Petit Vour. Find out more here.
