7 beauty products that will save your summer

Summer is finally here and we’re looking forward to sunny days in the park and at the beach (hello flip-flops, goodbye desktops!). Although catching some rays does have a beneficial effect for your health (vitamin D, anyone?), it is important to also protect your complexion from UVA and UVB rays. But no worries, we have you covered (literally) – here’s a selection of our favourite summer beautifiers that will help you enjoy a carefree summer.

Vegan Summer Beauty Products

1. John Masters Organics Natural Mineral Sunscreen with SPF 30

This natural sunscreen provides all-over skin protection for your face with a combination of titanium dioxide and zinc oxide. It offers SPF30, hydrates, moisturises and replenishes the skin with vitamins and minerals, and contains extracts from green tea, shea butter and jojoba oil.

 2. Lavera Organic Sun Spray SPF 20

The organic sunflower oil and calendula together with the natural UV protection in this sun spray help care for the skin and block UVA and UVB rays. If you prefer sun lotions to spray, this German organic beauty brand offers a nice selection of sun care products from head to toe.

3. Dr. Bronner’s Peppermint Liquid Soap

This peppermint soap from Dr. Bronner brings a cool breeze into your shower – perfect for these hot summer days. The company makes soaps since 1858, all products are certified organic and fair trade. We also love the peppermint lotion for a long lasting cooling effect during the day or after a day at the beach.

4. Hurraw! SPF 15 Lip Balm

The delicate skin of your lips need some extra protection during the summer time. This raw and organic lip balm glides on silky smooth, but is formulated extra thick for long staying power while you stay out in the sun. If you haven’t before, give the other flavours a try – something tells us you’ll love them.

5. Herbivore Botanicals Sea Mist

This 100 % natural salt water spray from Herbivore Botanicals is formulated with the same saline content as ocean salt. It is great for adding a beachy texture and waves to hair naturally, in addition to smelling like a beach summer vacation in a bottle. You can also spray it on your skin if it needs refreshing since it contains aloe water for hydration.

6. Sol de Janeiro: Posto Cool Coconut Water Cooling and Hydrating Mist

Whenever you need a break from the heat, it is time for a spritz of the refreshingly scented cooling mist spray. It cools immediately while hydrating and refreshing your skin with energizing coconut extract. Also our go to after sun product.

7. Paul Mitchell: After-Sun Hydrating Shampoo

This sulfate-free hydrating shampoo helps nourish your sun-struck strands while providing UV protection and locking in your hair colour. The result: soft and silky hair. If you need even more care and protection, try the sun shield conditioning spray as well as the after-sun masque from the same brand.
